Traditional Arts Today is building lasting partnerships that make a real difference in the community. We are very excited about a new partnership with Main Street Bistro. Traditional Arts Today is working with the owners to curate a collaborative gallery of paintings and other artwork at their restaurant. Our new Artistic Director, Kim Henzel, and ourChief of Operations, Alexianna Mundy, were talking with the Bistro owners when they were installing the art. The owners, who moved to Ferdinand from Carmel, Indiana to open the restaurant, said they missed the lively Carmel art scene. When they first discovered the Traditional Arts Today gallery gift shop, where the work of local artists is sold, it was like rediscovering their love of art.This partnership has been a win/win. It has allowed us to expand the opportunities for local artists to sell their work to the patrons of the Bistro, many of whom are tourists who might not otherwise have the opportunity to see and purchase local art. And not only that, it was wonderful to see how the owner’s eyes lit up when she saw the artwork installed on the Bistro’s walls.
