Celebrating Our Past, Inspiring Our Future
The corner of 9th and Main, near the lone stoplight in the heart of Ferdinand and just two blocks east of Traditional Arts Today, now greets residents and visitors with color, history, and art. Work on two community murals began May 8, 2026, through a partnership with artist Adam Long, owners of the historic Fleig’s Cafe, Framing Ferdinand, Ferdinand Historical Society, Ferdinand Merchants Association, and the community, spearheaded by Traditional Arts Today because we believe Art Builds Community.
The murals celebrate the people, landmarks, stories, and innovations that make Ferdinand unique. Historical hidden “seek and find” features woven amongst the scenes on the south-facing wall allow visitors to explore and connect with Ferdinand’s story in a hands-on way.

A Mural Moment: Walktoberfest on October 10, 2026 at 10 a.m. The dedication ceremony will be part of a townwide celebration of fall with crafts, shopping, music, and fun for all.
